MAT Program Coordinators are responsible for:

 

  • Developing and implementing program guidelines, policies, procedures, rules, and reguatlions related to MAT
  • Monitoring program activities and services to ensure effective delivery of treatment
  • Serving as liaison with all other coordinating disciplines in the MAT program
  • Serving as MAT grievance liaison to the Health Services Administrator
  • Facilitating communication and collobaration between medical staff, mental health staff, treatment providers, correctional staff, and clients receiving MAT
  • Leading the multidisciplinary team meetings for MAT program participants to coordinate discussions regarding integrated treatment planning and client response/progress from interventions
  • Maintaining a caseload as needed. Ensuring client-centered treatment planning and individualized care
  • Implementing strategies to minimize diversion of MAT medications. Staying informed about diversion techniques (e.g. cheeking) and implementing measures to prevent them
  • Educating and training all staff (FDC and contract) involved in MAT program to include safe administration of MAT and effective reponse to incidents. Providing training and supervision to the Case Managers and SUD counselors
  • Developing and implementing project plans to enhance MAT services. Evaluating program effectiveness, collecting data, and making recommendations for improvements. Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations related to MAT services
  • Advocating for clients’ access to MAT and ensuring continuity of care during incarceration and reentry. Working closely with medical staff, mental health staff and community treatment providers to facilitate enrollment into client assistance programs
  • Supervising MAT case management and/or SUD counseling staff as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

 

Education / experience / licensure / certifications must meet contractual requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, counseling, health management or a related human services field
  • Masters’ Degree preferred
  • Current credential as a Certified Addictions Professional or Masters’ Certified Addictions Professional (CAP or MCAP) in Florida or IC&RC reciprocal credential, OR; Current credential as a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMHC or LCSW)
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years experience with the provision of SUD treatment/intervention services that include Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
  • One (1) year supervisory experience preferred
