Quality Management Coordinator in Corrections are responsible for:

  • Assists clinical and management staff in investigation of client incidents, gathers records, reviews documentation related to the violation reports, etc.
  • Prepares and disseminates investigations summary and additional findings to senior management.
  • Assists senior management in developing and implementing reporting and tracking systems to ensure contractual compliance and delivery of quality care by establishing review criteria and selecting methodologies for data retrieval based on contract performance measures and standards of care.
  • Audits client records to ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation by clinical staff, and compliance with contract, standards and policies and procedures. 
  • Compiles audit data and documents findings to present to management.
  • Serves as program liaison to maintain and foster cooperative working relationships between Gateway and County employees to support and coordinate program quality measures and effectiveness of treatment recommendations. 
  • Identifies issues, provides input into resolution and communicates audit findings.
  • Creates, maintains and distributes regular and ad hoc reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in health care, health information management, social services or other related field preferred. Minimum high school is required.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in healthcare or social services, with some experience in substance abuse counseling; or a combination of equivalent education and life experience
  • Basic knowledge of health administration regulations and standards. Some knowledge of Therapractic preferred
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
  • Working knowledge of state and federal standards governing treatment/policies, experience in working with substance abusing, incarcerated populations
  • Basic communication skills to exchange information and interact with treatment team, clients and external agencies
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to summarize qualitative data
  • Strong documentation skills, attention to details
  • Ability to organize, evaluate, plan work day and priorities
  • Business Acumen
  • Strong work ethic, high degree of diplomacy, and tactful
