Position Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in shaping Gateway’s workforce by connecting great talent with meaningful work. This role partners closely with hiring managers to deliver full-cycle recruitment while creating a positive, engaging candidate experience. From developing creative sourcing strategies to building strong talent pipelines, the Talent Acquisition Specialist helps position Gateway as an employer of choice and ensures hiring outcomes that support program success.

 

Talent Acquisition Specialist key responsibilities: 

  • Partner with hiring managers to manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer processes, in compliance with Gateway policies and state and federal EEO regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with managers to understand job requirements, program needs, and workforce challenges; develop and execute program-specific recruiting strategies.
  • Source candidates using cost-effective and innovative methods, including passive sourcing, social and professional networking platforms, the applicant tracking system, and the Employee Referral Program.
  • Screen resumes and applications, conduct prescreen interviews, participate in candidate interviews, and coordinate selection decisions; obtain manager feedback and issue offer and rejection communications.
  • Manage the candidate experience, including coordinating interviews, administering assessments, extending and negotiating offers, and ensuring accurate application status and disposition tracking.
  • Represent Gateway at job fairs, professional conferences, schools, and community events; deliver presentations and build relationships to strengthen the talent pipeline and employer brand.
  • Evaluate recruiting practices and recommend improvements to sourcing strategies, job postings, and recruitment processes.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics and prepare reports to assess source effectiveness, outcomes, return on investment, and trends; recommend data-driven process improvements.
  • Stay current on talent acquisition trends, best practices, and applicable employment laws and regulations.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible recruitment experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and recruitment best practices.
  • Proven ability to partner with hiring managers and implement creative, program-specific recruiting strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to develop job advertisements, present to groups, and engage candidates.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate recruitment effectiveness, identify trends, and develop data-driven solutions.

Compensation: 

  • Salary Range: $70,000 – $76,000 annually
    (Compensation is commensurate with experience and internal equity.)

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to speak with others in order to exchange information and provide direction.
  • Ability to record and proofread information on forms.
  • Ability to respond to telephones and pages, and hear speech.
  • Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data on a regular basis.
  • Ability to travel to various locations to conduct interviews, participate in job fairs and conduct presentations.
