Location: Gateway Foundation Central - 55 E Jackson Blvd. Chicago, IL 60604
- First 90 days fully onsite. After will move into a hybrid position 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
Job Summary: Serves as the technical expert in the support and maintenance of the human capital management systems (HCMs), including ensuring data integrity, gathering requirements, testing of system changes, report writing, working with our vendor partners to implement new functionality and troubleshoot issues and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
Senior HR Information Systems Analyst are responsible for:
- Responsible for gathering and analyzing Human Resources data to assist with workforce planning, establishing processes, and ensuring the services provided meet the organization’s business needs and objectives.
- Gathers and compiles data related to external reporting compliance, such as, EEO-1, and VETS 100 reporting; and external audits such as the 403(b), Joint Commission, CARF, and other regulatory and compliance audits or surveys. Coordinates the process to ensure accurate data is submitted in an timely manner.
- Serves as lead in the review, testing and implementation of HCM systems, including upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintain HCM settings, including compensation data tables, organizational structure, and workflow settings and notifications. Documents process and results.
- Serves as primary contact for all data transmitted from HR via software feeds and reporting, such as UltiPro, SAP SuccessFactors, Relias, a digital personnel file system, and carrier feeds, and resolves data integrity and reporting issues.
- Acts as a professional resource and consultant to HR staff members and others across the organization in responding to internal inquiries regarding data, assisting in solving HR systems problems; analyzing, identifying and improving reporting and determining recommended solutions. Develops and maintains reports or queries for ongoing customer needs and on an ad hoc basis. Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Researches and resolves HCM problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serves as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., payroll, benefit vendors, HCM solution providers). May provide overall project management for a given HR initiative.
- Maintains awareness of current trends and developments in the human resources field and related technology through reading of professional literature and attendance at appropriate seminars, conferences and workshops.
- May develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains users on new processes/functionality, and may train new system users.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Ability to effectively analyze data, develop and maintain reports, identify and document business processes and data flow as acquired through a minimum of three (3) years, progressively more related experience working in HR reporting on related analytics. With experience performing data verification and/or data analysis with HR or Payroll systems and Self-Service applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with UKG Pro and Kronos a must.
- Experience working with SAP Success Factors and Relias a nice to have.
- Knowledge of human resources functional areas, business processes and applicable laws as acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in reporting writing highly desired.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to identify complex problems and recommend solutions; organizational abilities necessary to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to gather and exchange information, prepare summary reports, and present information.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate and build relationships cross functionally with internal customers at all levels of the organization and external customers.
- Demonstrated flexibility and multitasking skills to work in a business environment managing numerous priorities; and excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Results oriented, highly motivated, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and works well in a team environment.
Compensation (based on experience and credentials):
- $80,000-94,000 annually
- Gateway Foundation does annual reviews including eligibility for a merit rase
