JOB SUMMARY

Examines system applications and produces a gap analysis between current state and the desired future state; and ultimately outlines efficiencies and optimizations that allows for more efficient and effective work processes.  Formulates a detailed process analysis of all the current Gateway applications: electronic health record (EHR); human resource information systems (HRIS) payroll and financial systems.  Develops and implements process strategies, optimizing current processes, and maintaining process documents for current applications.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct site visits to analyze existing systems and, processes and workflows.  Includes interviews with appropriate staff to determine the efficacy of the current system, functionality and operational processes.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to prioritize and identify core processes and workflows.
  • Design, assess and gather data to identify improvement and optimization areas. Develop clear and detailed process maps and business requirements.
  • Develop the implementation of revised processes, workflows and user training materials and oversee training.
  • Develop metrics to monitor the efficacy of the updated processes and workflows.
  • Provide regular status reports to Management.
  • Conduct periodic assessments with user groups and our competitors that use the same EHR system, financial systems and/or HRIS applications in order to determine best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum (5) five years’ experience as a Process or Business Analyst, with proven portfolio of completed projects; with at least (3) three years’ experience in the healthcare sector preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management experience required; project management processional (PMP) certification preferred.                            
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR), human resource information systems (HRIS), and financial systems (Kronos, UltiPro, SAP Success Factors and Great Plains). 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to gather and exchange information with staff at all levels in the organization.
  • Interpersonal and presentation skills to represent analysis reports, workflows and training materials to diverse audiences.
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency with fundraising donor platforms, e.g. blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge for donor development.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills to monitor work, identify and report on trends and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 10 – 20 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects such as files and other office materials.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively in person or by telephone in order to gather and exchange information and provide direction.
  • Ability to type and proofread documentation.
  • Ability to respond to telephone calls, emails, voice mails and hear speech.
  • May be required to stoop and bend when handling computer equipment, troubleshooting system problems, etc.
  • Ability to check and verify data and error messages from printed form and computer monitor display.
  • Ability to use a keyboard and monitor display to enter, retrieve and/or audit information and data.
  • Travel to Gateway sites to interview staff and facilitate workshops.
