The IS Project Manager will direct the activities of a specified project team. Responsible for the successful delivery of a tangible product within an agreed scope, timeframe and budget; while using approved and appropriate project management methodologies.  The Project Manager must be able to develop partnerships with various business units and relationships which consists of management and team members. The IS Project Manager will be responsible for the work of others as it relates to project delivery but will not ahve any people management related responsibilities.




  • Manages and directs the activities of IS projects which includes the scope, budget, and resources.  Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction and successful solution delivery.
  • Establishes project goals and success factors, develops project plans, budgets and schedules with input and buy-in from key stakeholders and team members.
  • Directs and monitors the work of team members involved in the project to ensure successful project completion as defined by the success criteria outlined in the project plan.
  • Leads the project teams to successfully achieve goals in the most cost-effective and time-saving manner possible.
  • Provides project management mentorship for project leads as requested, and works with team members to assist in their professional PM development.
  • Works with manager to develop and enhance Information Technology methodologies, processes and standards, create templates, and selects and implements project management tools.
  • Collaborates with internal groups and supervise processes in order to maintain integrity of organizational technology standards.
  • Completes all necessary project documentation in compliance with established project methodology.



  • Knowledge of computer systems, software applications and networks in order to effectively manage projects at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in data processing/computer technology, or related field.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies at a level normally acquired through at least five years related Project Management experience; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Demonstrated skills in designing, developing, implementing and managing technology solutions required.
  • Analytical skills necessary to understand and analyze business processes and the use of technology by different facets of the organization.  
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal, required to effectively oversee, direct, delegate and follow-up on the work of others.
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills necessary to present information to the IS team and other  Gateway personnel.
  • Ability to create and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills necessary to effectively plan, organize and manage tasks. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, highly dynamic atmosphere and react quickly to changes.




  • Ability to communicate with others in person or by telephone in order to gather and exchange information.
  • Ability to continually proofread, check and verify data from printed form and computer monitor display. 
  • Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to enter, retrieve, and/or audit information, data and system application commands.
